4104 Leaving Toronto On a summer evening from the past, a long train from Mimico yards rumbles underneath Bathurst Street bound for Danforth Hill and Scarborough. The massive helper engine, #4104, was designed for this task on this stretch of railroad, and along with its four sisters, performed it well for nearly thirty years. Built for the CNR in 1924, these engines were the largest and most powerful in the Grand Trunk Railway in 1913.
