The Canadian at Morant's Curve

The hillside overlooking this scene near Lake Louise was a favorite camera location of CPR special photographer Nicholas Morant.  This painting of the eastbound "Canadian" features the famous train in its original colours of the 1950's.  The lead units, FP7A#1425 and F7B#4459, are presently being restored to their original appearance at the West Coast Railway Association's Heritage Park at Squamish, B.C.
