The owner of the business is Rod Bishop. Rod has been in the art business for 20+ years, and enjoys seeing the development of a West Coast style of art and prominence of art in the collector community around the world. He is particularly happy to see emerging artists realize their potential and promotes them through art exhibitions. He has an ongoing commitment to connect the artist with the collector in a relaxed atmosphere. Art - like the collector - are unique and must be introduced. |

It is with mixed feelings that we announce the retirement of longtime staff member, Denise Sheaff. On Dec. 31, 2004 Denise retired and now she will have time to pursue her passion for ballroom dancing, gardening and looking after grandkids. We wish her well in all her activities. Longtime customers will miss her charming manner and attentive service. So if you see someone tangoing with a rose between their teeth and they look like Denise, they probably are.

Charisma Gallery is honored to have among its staff an extraodinary artist, Hong Zhu. Hong was trained at the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Research Institute and is one of the few remaining artists in the world trained in Liu Ching, which is a traditional Chinese folk art of carving in bamboo. She has also been experimenting with painting on glass for the past year or so. You can see some of her striking work here. Her work sold very well at a group art show in Nov. 2006.
She is also a meticulous picture framer, a wonderful cook and a delightful person.

Over the past 2 decades the Gallery has been proud to support many fund-raising initiatives including Ducks Unlimited, the MSA Hospital, the Hospice Society, the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Abbotsford Symphony, and numerous other community projects. |
