SGaang Gwaii

"A remote rain-lashed shore, rich in seafood, surrounded by dense rainforest was home to the Haida village of SGaang Gwaii.  Here the canoes were pulled up on the beach, children played, men and women worked, and a great culture thrived.

Now the last of the proud poles stand amidst the sedge grass and the only sound to be heard is wind in the boughs of the trees."
