The great depression of the 1930s brought hard times to Canadiams as well as to much of the world. Unemployed men took to the roads and rails in the often vain hope of finding jobs and opportunities unavailable in their own regions. Between trains and between possibilities, three travellers settle in to contemplate tomorrow.
