From the moment that I first saw this baby carriage, I knew that it would usher into my heart a lifetime of brilliant memories! It was given to me by a dear friend who knew all too well that our move from the farm to the town of Niagara on the Lake meant real sidewalks where many adventures on foot awaited us.

While still pregnant with Tanya, I lovingly restored the carriage and lined it with clouds of feather pillows and cozy blankets.  At last, it was ready and willing to become my constant companion. Whether bumping along over rough terrain or going clumpity-clump over irregular sidewalks, it became a daily partner holding its precious cargo!

A few short years later, with the birth of Whitney, the carriage was cleaned to perfection and ready once again to perform its regal duty. Many a lullaby was heard from my lips to the sweet sound of the lofty springs and creaking wicker.

The carriage has since been retired under the protective eaves of the barn, and every time that I pass it, memories are stirred, and once again a lullaby is sung within my heart. God Bless Motherhood!
