Max Jacquiard Art Show at the 2006 Chilliwack Model Train Show

Over 4,000 people were on hand to enjoy the 2006 Model Train Show held on October 14th and 15th at the Heritage Center in Chilliwack. Sponsored by the Mount Cheam Lions Club, this fundraiser drew people from as far as Portland, Oregon and Vancouver.  We were very impressed with the organization of the event, the quality of the model train exhibits and the friendliness of the exhibitors.

Max Jacquiard, noted local train artist was on hand also, as the top bill for the Charisma Gallery display.  Here he is with local collectors Ed and Vi.

Max was very busy both days signing artcards, framed and unframed, but here we caught Max signing the back of Cisco Bridge 2  for its new owner.

We also gave away 8 framed works of "Royal Hudson under the Lion's Gate Bridge". Here Rod is congratulating dapper young winner Mark Roxby at Charisma Gallery in Abbotsford.  His top hat was unable to produce a rabbit but did make a striking fashion statement.

Kim Leroux, Mark Roxby, John Bateman, Pat Forrest, Don Streiling, Rudy Stobbe, James Gilham,  and Terry Haan.

Congratulations to the organizers for a tremendous show and we would like to extend an invitation to the 2007 Model Train Show--we've already signed up and Max has promised to be there too.
